Magnesium definiciency and overdose symptoms are the same. Try a lesser dose – the RDA is 6mg/kg of body weight. (Ie – if you’re 100 lbs which is 45.45 kg, you would need 272 mg.) Remember that you also get Mg from food sources, and the FDA doesn’t require Mg to be listed on the list (some good sources are milk, beans, avocados, yogurt, spinach…etc.)
Yes, meditation can definitely help. You can try doing it before you get into bed, just to relax your body and calm your mind. Concentrate on your breathing, and just take deep breaths in and out. You should begin to feel relaxed after a short while. If you keep suffering from insomnia, make sure you aren’t ingesting any caffeine or alcohol for at least a couple hours before you go to bed. Also, try to get up at the same time every day. Don’t oversleep, even though it’s tempting. You want to train your body to fall asleep and awaken at the same time every day. Good luck!
don’t drink caffeine within 2 hours of going to bed. try not to watch tv in bed or read books in bed. you need to devote it to just sleep. your mind can actually associate other things with the bed and say… oh wait…we arent supposed to sleep, you gotta outsmart the insomnia. i agree also with smoking pot. it really does help
I was the same way for about the first 3 months and am just now getting over it. For me, I think a lot of it has to do with the hormones and the changes. I don’t have the cramping. It’s more like morning sickness at night. I still have a little trouble with the insomnia, but it is getting better. If you keep having this problem, try to eat a piece of bread or some crackers. I find that helps me to fall back to sleep. I wouldn’t recommend drinking anything but water or maybe some Sprite with it because you could end up with heart burn and that will just make it worse.
Well actually Insomnia is a disease, only if want to get technical. As for when it started, and originated no one truely knows, although some say its been around since the begining, which does make since considering that insomnia may be afflicted upon a person from severe deppresion, or a tragic incident. I have had it going on 4 months now. So, i guess it dosen’t have an origin. Hope that helps, and good luck.
Try relaxation and self-hypnosis.Relaxation: Lie on your back with your arms by your sides. Consciously focus on all joints in the body (one group at a time) tense them and relax them. Move onto the next. In your head, tell yourself "I tense my toes, I relax my toes, my toes can relax….. I tense [...]
5-HTP is a natural substance that can help you relax and sleep better.Get it at a drug store or health food store. It is a natural antidepressant. If that doesn’t work try Valerian Root. If this is a sudden change in your husbands behavior, there may be an underlying medical condition. I would really suggest [...]
I actually had a problem with insomnia during the last stage of my pregnancy. But the headaches may be caused by fluctuating estrogen levels along with changes in your blood volume. To add to that, your inability to sleep properly may also trigger these headaches. Try to stay away from caffeine or any activity that [...]
