Have your parents buy you some over the counter sleep aids and see if that helps the problem. Make sure the sleep aids are okay for your age to take. And make sure you follow the directions. If it does help, then you most likely have insomnia. If it doesn’t then you probably don’t. However, after you give those pills about a week, if they do help, go to the doctor and see if they can get you on some prescription sleep aids; if it doesn’t help you’ll want to go to the doctor and see what else it may be or if you just need a certain prescription.@TarkarriYou can’t just rule out the possibility of insomnia. Insomnia could cause other problems if left untreated.

PLEASE!!! never, EVER mess around with food and medication intake. given what you’ve said so far- my best advice for you is – if you’re dizzy- don’t wait for an appointment to see your doctor… go to the hospital and tell them what concerns you enough to ask this forum. mixing antidepressants and insomnia medication, and then not eating on top of it???!!! no no no!!! go get looked at! i’m very, very serious! please read my source, perhaps it will persuade you to listen to me! go tell your parents! DO IT NOW!!
I’m in the same boat as you my friend (2 days for me at the moment, but it usually peaks at around 3-3.5 days.)Valerian root is decent (put about 5 tea bags in one cup of hot water and it’s the equivalent to a valum (same chemical family.)) that CAN help, other than that, other methods include reading a phone book (white pages.) Reading the dictionary, etc.EDIT: nyquil and other types of over the counter drugs are EASILY abused by people with insomnia, and are dangerous. If you do decide to try a chemical, I strongly recommend Valerian root.
